Here is what it was looking like:
Here is what it looks like, as of today:
Notice the missing oven and dishwasher? They didn't work, so we're going to get some new ones, soon!
Does anyone speak German? We are learning, so we can do our laundry!
Notice the book in all these pictures? This is the book Cece asks me to read to her over and over and over and over . . . .
There's still more work to be done! We are sure missing all of you!
Can't wait to come visit. Looks great!!

Man. You have worked HARD. I know. I can tell. I've moved three times in the last year and a half. I know how much work it is. Be refreshed and blessed.
ReplyDeleteWow! It all looks really nice!
ReplyDeleteAbout the German... I will be able to help in a year, when I start learning my third language!!

Getting settled is something that takes a while...you are doing a great job. Even if you feel like you are not! YOU ARE...your home is beautiful, your baby is beautiful and the sacrafice of love that you are making to the Lord, (and I know it's not just sacrafice, the desire is there also) but just the same, it's lovely and it shows. Keep up the good work!!!

Oh great job!!! Nice bathroom (especially the tub!!), can't wait to be there. Try looking up your washing machine model on the internet and see if they have a manual in English. I've had to do that many times!!

Hey you!! Cute place!! It is looking awesome! Tryn went through a stage where I had to read the same book ALL the time too :/ However, that is how she started learning to memorize :)
ReplyDeleteThe good news about German is that it's a relative to English...so leicht=light (actually "easy" or gentle); wasche=wash; programme=program (means "cycle"); extra=extra; you have an energy-saving cycle (energiesparprogramme); wolle=wool; kurz=short; Hemden bugelfrei=permanent press I think(it literally means "not needing to iron shirts"); gardinen/oberbekleidung=curtains & outerwear; pflegeleicht=care (not sure what that would mean other than gentle cycle). So...that's a start for you. :)
ReplyDeleteAleisha it is definitely starting to look like the cutest little home! Nice work! It'll be so nice when you are fully settled in :) As for the German... maybe contact my mother? She is a german teacher... she just might be able to help :) Can't wait to see more pictures of you cute little home!
ReplyDeleteWow Aleisha! The place looks GREAT!! and CeCe is Getting sooooooo big!! how old is she now? she is so beautiful!!
ReplyDeletehaha i LOVE foreign-speaking washer/dryers! oh this makes me miss you and love you guys even more. so thankful we're going through such similar moments together. you are doing a great job nesting, Aleisha! and Cece looks like she's loving her new home too!
ReplyDeleteLookin' good, girl!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're settling in ... Hope you had a blessed Easter! Hugs from the Hennums!
ReplyDeleteLooks to me like that orange carpet matches the rest of the house pretty well. The orange light in the kitchen, your orange lamp, the carpet in Cece's room... and orange goes very well with the browns. I'm just sayin'
