For much of my life, I don't think I really understood the power of the gospel. Even as I write that, it seems like the phrase is so clique that its true meaning is lost. However, so much of my life these past two years has been about me growing in my understanding of what Jesus really wants to do in my life and in the lives of others. It's not just about a prayer to save yourself from hell. The gospel, the truth of who Jesus is, His redemptive power, and a life that is healed through the power of the Holy Spirit are, for me, what this life was meant to be. Serving with Josiah Venture in Central and Eastern Europe has given me the great privilege to meet guys like Mart Saar and his wife Greta. I love them, even though I don't spend a lot of time with them (Estonia is way up there)! Watch this video and catch a glimpse of what I mean!

lessons from Dan Hash
The Summer of 2002, I was a Josiah Venture intern serving with Dan and Laura Hash in Poland. I learned more that summer than a thousand blog posts could contain.
Many of those lessons came from Dan Hash. He and Laura have been serving in Poland for close to 20 years. I mentioned in a recent post that he yelled at me for flirting with Brian, long story, "small" lesson. I learned other more incredibly significant lessons about ministry that summer.
You have to hear Dan share about Advance. I hope you learn something, too!
